Clarence E. Mason The song "He Cannot Fail" was written when Dr. C. E. Mason, Jr. was the pastor of Chelsea Baptist Church in Atlantic City, NJ and first published by Singspiration in 1941. During his years pastoring in Atlantic City, NJ, Dr. Mason started a conference called the Boardwalk Bible Conference. He brought in nationally known Bible teachers which drew the attention of his alma mater, Wheaton College. They recognized his contribution by honoring him with an Honorary Doctorate. That recognition launched him into the academic deanship of what was to become Philadelphia College of Bible. We often sang his chorus in chapels at PCB (now Cairn University).
