نازلةً من السما

ذات جلال ضوءُها
كجوهر قد كرُما

2 - فيها من الأسواق ما
يُبهرُ عين الناظرِ

قد صُنعتْ من ذهبٍ
مثلَ الزجاج الزاهرِ

3 - نِعمَ المدينةُ التي
لم يُرَ فيها هيكلُ
هللويا
وإنما هيكلها
رب العُلى والحملُ
هللويا

4 - طول النهار سرمدا
أبوبها لا تُغلقُ
هللويا
ولا يكون ضِمنُها
ليلٌ عليها يُطبقُ
هللويا

5 - وكل ما بالرجسِ أو
بغير حقٍّ يُعملُ
هللويا
وكل شيءٍ نَجِسٍ
في بابها لا يدخلُ

Nasif al-Yaziji (March 25, 1800 – February 8, 1871) was a Lebanese author at the times of the Ottoman Empire and father of Ibrahim al-Yaziji. He was one of the leading figures in the Nahda movement.
