1 Why, O soul, in darkness wander, while above you there is light?
If you only look to Jesus he will make your pathway bright;
Live no longer with the tempter, he your precious soul will blight;
You can find whate’er you need in Jesus.
Refrain:
Everything you need, yes, all for which you plead,
You will surely find it all in Jesus!
Go to him while yet you may,
Love and trust him day by day;
You can find whate’er you need in Jesus.
2 Often you are lacking comfort, oft you sigh for love and cheer;
Oft you bend beneath a burden and no earthly friend is near;
Look above, the Lord will help you, for to him your soul is dear;
You can find whate’er you need in Jesus. [Refrain]
3 Oh, a precious friend is Jesus unto all who trust his grace;
He will comfort and encourage you at any time of place;
Let him make you free and happy and a blessing to your race;
You can find whate’er you need in Jesus. [Refrain]
