Whisper It to Jesus

When the sunshine beameth

Author: Rev. E. A. Hoffman
Tune: [When the sunshine beameth]
Published in 2 hymnals

Audio files: MIDI

Representative Text

1 When the sunshine beameth
Glorious ev’rywhere,
Tell your joy to Jesus
In a silent pray’r.

Chorus:
Whisper it to Jesus,
Be it joy or care,
For He is the hearer and the answerer of pray’r.

2 Should there come a sorrow,
Or corroding care,
Whisper it to Jesus
In a silent pray’r. [Chorus]

3 When your heart seems burdened,
More than it can bear,
Breathe it to the Savior
In a silent pray’r. [Chorus]

4 Weak and almost yielding,
To some dark despair,
Go, commune with Jesus
In a silent pray’r. [Chorus]

5 Whisper it to Jesus,
be it joy or care;
Breathe your fears and longings
In a silent pray’r. [Chorus]
