Representative Text

1 When the days are dreary,
I can not be moved,
When my heart is weary,
I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved.

Refrain:
I can not be, I can not be moved,
I can not be, I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved.

2 Praise the love that found me,
I can not be moved,
Evil hosts surround me,
I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved. [Refrain]

3 When the tempter lures me,
I can not be moved,
Jesus’ love assures me,
I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved. [Refrain]

4 Sing the wond’rous story,
I can not be moved,
Filled with grace and glory,
I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved. [Refrain]

5 When the end is nearing,
I can not be moved,
Naught of evil fearing,
I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved. [Refrain]

6 Given life eternal,
I can not be moved,
having joys supernal,
I can not be moved,
For I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
I can not be moved. [Refrain]
