Author: Mary Ide Torrey

Torrey, Mary, née Ide, daughter of Jacob Ide, D.D., of Medway, Massachusetts, was born June 29, 1817, married to the Rev. Charles Turner Torrey, March 29, 1837, and died in 1869. She published Christian Rule in Dress, 1838, and City and Country Life, 1856.
