Representative Text

1 We shall be like him, when he shall come in glory;
Like him forever, thro’ riches of his grace;
O what assurance to all God’s children given,
We shall be like him when we see his face.

Refrain:
We shall be like him, we shall be like him,
For we shall see him as he is;
We shall be like him, we shall be like him,
For we shall see him as he is.

2 We shall be like him, however rough our journey,
Light from his promise shall brighten ev’ry place;
“Like our Redeemer,” our hearts sing hallelujah,
We shall be like him when we see his face. [Refrain]

3 We shall be like him, the vail will soon be lifted,
Then we shall praise him for all his love and grace;
No more the earthly, but glory grand, eternal,
We shall be like him when we see his face. [Refrain]
