Of the precious blood,
That on Calvary was spilt.

For the healing fountain’s crimson tide;

To Christ the crucified.

2 Thro’ the ages long,
In a countless throng,
Have the sin stained souls in their need come nigh,

She began writing when she was nine years old but really started writing verse in high school. She lived in Peoria, Ill.
