Representative Text

1 There is work that must be done,
And the Master sends the call;
Lay aside your worldly care,
Come and labor, one and all.

Refrain:
To the harvest, worker,
Faint not by the way;
To the harvest hasten,
Labor there today;
On the hillside gather,
Glean upon the plain;
Be a toiler faithful,
And reap the golden grain.

2 Lo, the fields are ready now,
And the laborers are few;
Hasten while the day is here,
There is work for you to do. [Refrain]

3 Your reward is safe and sure
In the treasure house above;
Come and help the faithful ones
In the blessed work of love. [Refrain]

4 Soon the summer days will end,
When the harvest time is past;
Come and labor while you may,
While the precious moments last. [Refrain]
