Representative Text

1 There is peace, sweet peace in Jesus’ love,
For the troubled, weary soul;
‘Tis the wondrous peace of heav’n above,
That will make our spirits whole.

Refrain:
Peace, wonderful peace,
When all our doubtings shall cease;
When trials are past, and day dawns at last,
Oh, wonderful, wonderful peace.

2 Jesus gives balm for pain and grief,
For our sadness giveth joy;
And his blessed peace brings sweet relief,
That no foe can e’er destroy. [Refrain]

3 Jesus knowethev’ry sorrow deep,
And he knoweth what is best;
Unto all the souls that mourn and weep,
His sweet peace brings joy and rest. [Refrain]
