Christ Our King

Representative Text

1 There is no King but Jesus!
To Him all knees shall bow;
From sin He saves and frees us;
Glory encrowns His brow,
To Him all lands are coming;
God speed the dawning day
When this great land shall hail Him,
And own His royal sway.

Refrain:
To Christ our King
Our land we bring;
His glad and full salvation is
The song we sing;
Sound forth the gospel message,
Resounding let it ring—
America shall conquered be
For Christ our King!

2 Go forth and preach the gospel!
Obey the King’s command,
Till men shall hear and heed it,
Thro’out this favored land.
All peoples God is sending
To share our liberty;
Ring out the proclamation:
“Our King, He makes men free!” [Refrain]

3 There is no King but Jesus!
The red, the black, the brown,
The yellow and the white man,
Shall tender Him the crown.
To Him the high and lowly
Are one in their estate;
He only maketh holy,
He only maketh great! [Refrain]
