Representative Text

1 The way may be thorn-lined and painful to tread,
But we have been called to obey,
So with Jesus we'll walk, of salvation we'll talk,
As we trust and go on in the way.

Chorus:
Then we'll trust and go on in the way,
Trusting the Savior each day;
Our crosses He'll bear,
And our sorrows He'll share,
As we trust and go on in the way.

2 The night may be dark and no stars overhead,
We may stumble and fall tho' we pray;
But our Guide safely leads, and supplies all our needs,
As we trust and go on in the way. [Chorus]

3 Death's river may roll its cold wave at our feet,
We may come to the close of the day;
Yet no evil we fear, for our Jesus is near,
As we trust and go on in the way. [Chorus]

4 O ye who are groping in darkness and sin,
'Tis the Savior is calling today;
He is willing to save you and cleanse you within,
If you'll trust and go on in the way. [Chorus]
