Anyone Can Tell It

The old, old gospel story so many long to hear

Author: Maud Frazer Jackson
Tune: [The old, old gospel story so many long to hear]
Published in 1 hymnal

Audio files: MIDI

Representative Text

1 The old, old gospel story so many long to hear,
For hearts are sad and lonely and lives are void of cheer;
And anyone can tell it to whom the Lord is dear,
Anyone can tell it who loves Him.

Refrain:
Anyone can tell it, anyone can tell it,
Anyone can tell it who loves Him,
So tell it as you go, that all the world may know,
Anyone can tell it who loves Him.

2 The Lord can often use us though humble we may be,
A little child, a wise man, may bring the light to see;
‘Tis just to let the Spirit to us have access free,
Anyone can tell it who loves Him. [Refrain]

3 Then if you love the Saviour, O friend do not delay,
But speak a word for Jesus to those you meet each day;
If you sincerely love Him the Lord will show the way,
Anyone can tell it who loves Him. [Refrain]
