1 Take heed what you sow in life’s field day by day
For the harvest will surely come.
Each seed that you sow will spring up by the way,
For the harvest will surely come.
Refrain:
O the harvest will surely come!
O the harvest will surely come!
Take heed what you sow in life’s field day by day,
For the harvest will surely come!
The harvest will surely come!
2 Who carelessly soweth shall sorrow at last,
For the harvest will surely come!
O ever be watchful for the time speedeth fast,
And the harvest will surely come! [Refrain]
3 Go labor today with new courage and might,
For the harvest will surely come!
God grant that your sheaves may be golden and bright,
For the harvest will surely come! [Refrain]
