Numa Noite Azul

Representative Text

1. Soou em meio à noite azul
Um hino divinal.
Jamais, tão belo som, assim,
Ouviu algum mortal.
Do Céu ao mundo, graça e paz!
Excelso dom gentil!
Dos anjos, essa doce voz
Encheu o céu anil.

2. Enquanto os anjos ’inda estão
Cantando com prazer,
Louvor por todo o Céu sem-fim
Ao mais sublime Ser.
Então, suave e meiga voz,
Descendo como um véu,
Proclama que nasceu Jesus,
Unindo a Terra ao Céu.

3. Ó, quem nos dera, sempre, ouvir
As vozes divinais!
Sentir a paz do Céu de luz,
País dos imortais!
Louvar a Cristo, o Rei dos reis,
Com anjos em canção.
No lar possamos nós, também,
Cantar a salvação!
