Praise to thee, thou loving Father

Representative Text

1 Praise to Thee, thou loving Father,
For thy kindness ever free,
Giving plenteous food and clothing,
Healthful toil, and liberty;
Blessed sunshine--eyes to see it,
Music--and the ears to hear;
Giving all things, asking only
Perfect love that casts out fear.

2 Asking us but to remember
Him who brought us, from thy store,
Heav'nly bread and living water,
Which, we drinking, thirst no more,
For this special gift we bless Thee,
His light yoke we fain would bear;
In our daily life confess Thee,
In His glory seek to share.
