Representative Text

1 Praise the King all-glorious,
Who rules o’er heav’n and earth;
The angel hosts obey his will,
They tell his matchless worth,
Oh, praise his name
And worship now,
All-rev’rently
Before his bow.

Refrain:
Praise him, praise him!
Praise our all-glorious King today!
Praise him, praise him!
Praise him, let men and angels say!
Praise him e’er for his matchless worth!
Praise him ruling o’er heav’n and earth!
Sing before him with holy mirth,
Our Lord most high.

2 In hi sov’reign majesty
The Lord doth condescend;
‘Tis love divine, indeed, that deigns
To be the sinner’s Friend.
We gladly, Lord,
Our voices raise
In glad accord
To sing thy praise. [Refrain]

3 Holy is his wondrous Name,
To him all pow’r is giv’n,
Dominion broader than the sea
And high as highest heav’n.
Ye nations all,
His name adore,
Who reigns our King
For evermore. [Refrain]
