1 Over the ocean
In silence grows
Fragrant and lovely
Sharon’s sweet rose;
Clear laughing waters
Murmuring by,
Mirror its beauty
And the blue sky.

Sharon’s sweet roses
Bring to us word
Of One most lovely,
Jesus our Lord.
Fairer than roses
Or lilies rare,
He is the fairest
Of all the fair.

2 O, of all roses
This is the queen
But oft its beauty
