Representative Text

1 Out of the pain of the world
Christ shall return to men;
Out of the night of the world
Morning shall come again.

Chorus:
Look to the heavens above,
Look to the Star’s bright flame;
Once, to a dark, dark world,
Jesus, the Christ-Child came;
Once, to a dark, dark world,
Jesus, the Christ-Child came.

2 Out of the hate of the world
Love shall at last arise,
Out of despair there shall come
Hope, as a sweet surprise. [Chorus]

3 Out of the war of the world
Christ shall come forth as King;
Out of the hurt of the world
Rivers of healing spring. [Chorus]
