1 Onward, the foe to meet, fearless we go;
Jesus our Captain leads the way!
Strong is His mighty arm, faithful and true;
Trusting in Him we’ll win the day.
Refrain:
Then we’ll march on to victory, march, a happy throng;
March on to victory, valiant, brave, and strong!
Hark! hark! the battle-cry sounds above our song—
Victory! victory! victory!
2 Clad in the armor bright, God doth provide
Breastplate and helmet, shield and sword;
Bravely we face the foe, boldly we cry—
Vict’ry is ours thro’ Christ the Lord. [Refrain]
3 See, see the mighty host strong on the field!
Shout, for the Lord shall make us free!
Let our hosannas ring loudly and long,
To Him who gives the victory. [Refrain]
