In the order of His plan;
Louder, nearer rolls the thunder,
Of His awful word to man.

Louder, louder, hallelujah!
See the glorious fountain flow;
From the midst of Heav’n proclaim it,
Oh, it makes me white as snow.

2 Since by sin this earth was blighted,
God has whispered of His love,
Dreams and visions by His prophets,
Breathed of mercy from above. [Refrain]

3 Louder speaks His love in Jesus,
Heaven sweetly chants His fame;
Earth receives its glorious Savior,
Hallelujah to His name! [Refrain]

4 Yet the world is wrapped in slumber,
Louder raise the trumpet’s blast;
Oh in mercy let it thunder,
Ere the day of mercy’s past. [Refrain]

5 In the cages of deception

Warner, Daniel Sidney. (near Marshallville, Wayne County, Ohio, 1842--1895). Church of God. Reared on an Ohio farm. During the Civil War, he substituted for a brother. Later he taught school. He attended Oberlin College briefly in 1865. By 1867 he was licensed to preach by the Western Ohio Eldership of the Church of God (Winebrennerian). His experience in preaching was gained on circuits in Nebraska and Ohio. In 1874 he was in trouble with the Eldership for preaching entire sanctification. Soon he joined the Indiana Eldership. In 1881 he was in trouble with this Eldership over sectism.
