Mitchell, Rev. Stanford. A ninteenth-century Universalist minister, at one time settled in Caribou, Maine. Author of Goodwill Songs (1883). A hymn beginning, "O peaceful, quiet place!" is attributed to him in Church Harmonies: New and Old (1895).
