Our youthful steps might roam,

Author: Jonathan Bayley

Jonathan Bayley was born in Salford, England on July 22nd, 1810. At the age of 14, he began to attend the evening classes and joined the Sunday School at the New Jerusalem Temple. Until the age of 19 he was engaged at the Salford Iron Works. He became a preacher and served the Accrington Society. While there he started a night school and later opened schools at Holland-bank, and Waterloo. Dr. Bayley was with the Argyle Square Society for sixteen years. He died on May 12, 1886, in Kensington, London, England.
