1 O holy martyr, spotless dove,
With joy we celebrate thy day;
Thou dwellest now in bliss above,
Where tyrants o'er thee have no sway.
Sweet Agnes, pure, angelic child,

2 Thy cruel suff'rings all are past,
A crown of glory decks thy brow;
Celestial light is round thee cast,
And God is thine forever now.

To be as free as thou from stain;
