Chamberlain, Thomas, M.A., was born in 1810, and educated at Westminster, and Christ Church, Oxford, (B. A. in honours, 1831). From 1837 to 1842 he was Vicar of Cowley, Oxford, and in 1842 he became Vicar of St. Thomas the Martyr, Oxford. He was Student of Christ Church, and Hon. Canon (1862). He was also from 1844 to 1850 Rural Dean of Oxford. His published works include Theory of Christian Worship, 2nd ed. 1855; The Seven Ages of the Church, 1858; and a Commentary on the Epistle to the Romans, 1870. He also edited:—
