O Dia Eu Não Sei

Representative Text

1. O dia, não sei,
Do regresso do Esposo,
Mas, pelos sinais,
Já estou animoso,
Pois presto virá
Esse evento glorioso!
Mas o dia, não sei.

Estribilho:
Cristo vem!
Vigiemos, oremos.
Ele vem!
Aleluia! Aleluia!
Sobre as nuvens virá,
Com os anjos da glória,
Mas o dia, não sei.

2. Os crentes verão,
Pela Santa Escritura,
Que não tardará
Nossa eterna ventura;
Olhemos, então,
Para a glória futura,
Mas o dia, não sei. [Estribilho]

3. Orar, vigiar,
Eis a necessidade.
Bem firmes os pés
Na bendita verdade;
Descanso haverá
Na celeste cidade,
Mas o dia, não sei. [Estribilho]
