Representative Text

1 No room in thy life for the Saviour,
Yet room for life’s pleasures so bright,
And room for its toil and its sorrows and pain,
When joys have at last taken flight,
For this world alone thou are living,
For today and yet how can it be,
Thou coldly canst say to thy Saviour,
“No room in my life Lord for thee?”

Refrain:
O come to the Saviour who’s waiting,
His love and his peace to impart,
No longer delay but remember today
And open the door of thy heart.

2 No room in thy life for the Saviour,
Yet time for the world and its cares,
And time for its hopes and its pleasures and griefs,
Its sins and temptations and snares,
But life’s little day is now passing,
How swiftly the moments all flee,
And yet canst thou say to the Saviour,
“No room in my life Lord for thee?” [Refrain]

3 No room in thy life for the Saviour,
To save thee from sin and its power,
To keep thee from danger, temptation and harm,
To comfort in death’s darksome hour,
He comes to bring pardon for sinners,
From Satan to set thy soul free,
And yet canst thou say to thy Saviour,
“No room in my life Lord for thee?” [Refrain]
