Representative Text

1 Many are prodigals—wandering far
In countries of famine and woe,
Unshined upon there by love’s beautiful star,
A sorrowful harvest to know.

Refrain:
Love them, love them into the kingdom,
Help the dear wanderers there;
Love them—pray them into the kingdom,
Take no denial, in pray’r.

2 Many are friendless, they journey unknown,
They think there is no one to care;
Oh, will you not comfort the sad and the lone,
And lead them your blessings to share. [Refrain]

3 Many are hardened at pitiful cost;—
Remember God’s promise to claim!
It is not His will that one soul should be lost,
Pray on in Christ’s wonderful name. [Refrain]
