John Bramblett Beall was born in Georgia on March 19, 1833. He served in the Civil War. He wrote a book of poems and short stories "In Barrack and Field: poems and sketches of army life" (Publishing House of the M. E.Church South, Nashville: 1906) and was a newspaper editor. B. B.
