Representative Text

1 Lo! ‘tis free, this great salvation,
‘Tis recorded in God’s word;
Free to all of ev’ry nation
Through the love of Christ our Lord.

Refrain:
Sing the gospel story over
Of the fountain full and free,
Deep enough all sins to cover—
Sing aloud “’Tis free! ‘tis free!”

2 On the brow of Calvary’s mountain
Precious Jesus paid the debt;
From His side came forth love’s fountain—
Praise His name! ‘tis flowing yet. [Refrain]

3 Come, poor sinner, faint and weary,
Come with all your woe and sin,
Come this moment, do not tarry,
Come be cleansed this fount within. [Refrain]
