Representative Text

1 Let us scatter sunshine all along life’s way;
Let us help each other by the words we say;
Let us share the burdens that our comrades bear,—
There is good that waits the doing ev’rywhere.

Refrain:
Good deeds, kind deeds, scatter them by the way;
Gladden sad hearts, dry their tears, if you may.
Look up, lift up, tell the story of love,—
That’s our mission from the Father above.

2 O the hearts that hunger for a word of love!
O the eyes that do not look the earth above!
Let us seek and find them point them to the sun,
Tell them that God loves them, win them one by one. [Refrain]

3 Just to help each other in a loving way,
Just a word of comfort earnestly to say,
Just a deed of kindness, just a friendly smile,—
That’s a noble mission, grandly worth our while. [Refrain]
