1 Christe, du est den lyse Dag,
For dig ei skjules nogen Sag,
Du kaldes jo det sande Lys;
Saa lys os til din Faders Hus!
Faders Hus!

2 Vi bede dig,o Herre kjær,
Med din Miskundhed bliv os nær,
Og und os Hvile og Ro i dig,
At Natten hengaar fredelig!
Fredelig!

3 Lad Syndens Søvn ei flade os paa,
Ei heller Djævlen Magten faa,
Men lad vort Legem hvile smukt
I Renhed o i hellig Tugt!
Hellig Tugt!

4 Naar vore Øine lukke sig,
Lad Hjertet vaage da hos dig,
Hold over os din høire Haand,
At os ei binder Syndens Baand!
Syndens Baand!

5 Vor Frelser kjær, du til os se,
Lad os ei Ondt af Djævlen ske,
Og led du os paa Veien god!
Du haver kjøbt os med dit Blod,
Med dit Blod.

6 O naadig' Herre Gud, kom nu
Vort Legems Skrøbelighed ihu;
Du er vor Sjæls Beskjærmer vist,
Saa bliv da hos os, Herre Christ!
Herre Christ!
