Just now, O Lord, we need Thee

Representative Text

1 Just now, O Lord, we need thee,
Just now for help we cry,
Thou art our only refuge,
To thee alone we fly.
Temptations sore beset us,
The flesh indeed is weak,
Within thine arms enfold us,
Their shelter now we seek.

Chorus:
Just now, O Lord, draw near us,
As here we humbly bow;
Incline thine ear and hear us,
And answer, Lord, just now.

2 Just now wilt thou receive us,
Nothing to bring have we,
O fill us with thy Spirit,
Our strength and wisdom be.
Alone we cannot conquer
The foes we daily meet,
But, Lord, when thou art with us,
The victory is complete. [Chorus]

3 Just now, our Father, hear us,
And answer our request,
Free us from Satan's bondage,
From doubts give perfect rest.
Create clean hearts within us,
And pure desires instil;
Let touches of thy mercy,
Our very being thrill. [Chorus]
