Representative Text

1 Judah’s mountains heard the echo
Of the angel chorus sing,
As they floated, downward floated,
Earthward on their shining wings.

Refrain:
Glory to God in the highest,
The valleys re-echo the strain;
Glory god in the highest,
Peace on earth, good will to men.

2 Judah’s rivers lent their murmur
To the angels’ song of love;
As they floated, downward floated,
Like a holy sacred dove. [Refrain]

3 Judah’s shepherds saw the glory
Heard the voices singing sweet,
Heard the glad angelic story,
Falling prostrate at their feet. [Refrain]
