1 Jesus with me all the time, wonderful the tho’t!
He is walking by my side;
I can hear His voice divine when the way grows long,
Speaking peace amid the throng.
Chorus:
Jesus with me all the time,
Jesus with me all the time;
O what joy to know, while here below,
He is with me all the time.
2 Jesus with me all the time, showing forth His pow’r,
Helping me to faithful prove;
Burdens once so hard to bear, shared with Him are light,
Paths once drear now shine with light. [Chorus]
3 Jesus with me all the time, O what joy to know
I have such a blessed Friend!
Some day he will call me home to His heav’n above,
Face to face with Him I love. [Chorus]
Lizzie De Armond was a prolific writer of children's hymns, recitations and exercises. When she was twelve years old her first poem was published in the Germantown, Pa. Telegraph, however, it was not until she was a widow with eight children to support that she started writing in earnest. She wrote articles, librettos, nature stories and other works, as well as hymns.
