Gilbert Kearnie Keegan Born: January 31, 1907, Bunkie, Louisiana. Died: September 13, 1960, St. Louis, Missouri. He died just after boarding a plane to Hawaii. Buried: Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Nashville, Tennessee. Keegan was a graduate of Northwestern State College, Natchitoches, Louisiana (BA 1927), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas (ThM 1933). He pastored at the First Baptist Church, Natchitoches, Louisiana (1932-35); Emmanuel Church, Alexandria, Louisiana (1937-41); First Baptist Church, Longview, Texas (1941-45); and Temple Baptist Church, Los Angeles, California (1945-50).
