Representative Text

1 Jesus only, when the morning
Beams upon the path I tread;
Jesus only, when the darkness
Gathers round my weary head.

Refrain:
Jesus only, Jesus only,
He is near me day by day;
Jesus only, Jesus only,
He goes with me all the way.

2 Jesus only, when the billows
Cold and sullen o’er me roll;
Jesus only, when the trumpet
Rends the tomb and wakes the soul. [Refrain]

3 Jesus only, singing, praising,
Saints their crowns before Him bring;
Jesus only, I will joyous,
Thro’ eternal ages sing. [Refrain]
