[Christ, the Children's Example.] Published in Hymns for Infant Minds, by Anne and Jane Taylor, 1810, in 6 stanzas of 4 lines, and headed, "The Example of Christ" (edition 1886, p. 99). It has attained to great popularity, and is in extensive use in Great Britain and America. In some American Hymns, including Beecher's Plymouth Collection, 1855, lines 3, 4 of stanza ii.—

Pure and spotless, free from sin,"
