1 In this world I am a stranger,
Heaven is my fatherland,
Tho’ on ev’ry side is danger,
Yet with confidence I stand;
For I know that He who bought me
With His own most precious blood,
Will not rest till He has brought me
Safe beyond death’s chilling flood.
