Representative Text

1 In the mansions eternal,
Jesus is there our home to prepare;
In the mansions eternal,
“He giveth His children rest.”
Tenderly He calls to thee,
“Heavy laden, come to me;”
Trusting in His power divine,
Endless life is thine.

Refrain:
In the mansions eternal,
Jesus is there our hope to prepare;
In the mansions eternal,
“He giveth His children rest.”

2 In the mansions eternal,
Sorrow and care ne’er entereth there;
In the mansions eternal,
“He giveth His children rest.”
Winds and waves obey His will,
When He murmurs, “Peace, be still;”
Troubled heart with sorrow pressed,
He will give thee rest. [Refrain]

3 In the mansions eternal,
Faithful and sure His promises are;
In the mansions eternal,
“He giveth His children rest.”
Though a pilgrim here below,
Onward to my home I go,
To the land forever bright;
Jesus is its light. [Refrain]
