Representative Text

1 In the dim woodlands,
Silent and deep,
Blossoms are waking,
From their long sleep.
Bird songs are ringing
On every hand,
Blue skies are smiling,
O’er a fair land.

Refrain:
O, the golden summer time is here,
At the fairest season of the year,
Let none be sad,
Let all be glad
For the golden summer time is here.

2 Out in the meadows,
Gay brooklets run,
Shining like silver,
In the bright sun.
Mountains are smiling,
In robes of green,
O’er all the landscape,
Beauty is seen. [Refrain]

3 Trees of the woodland,
Birds of the air,
Splendor of sunset,
All are most fair.
Then let our praises
Rise unto heav’n,
For all this beauty,
So freely giv’n. [Refrain]
