Representative Text

1 I’m a sunny hearted pilgrim on the King’s highway,
For the light is shining brightly in my soul today,
I am looking unto Jesus as I run the christian race,
And he causes me to triumph by His love and grace.

Refrain:
I am singing, ever singing as I go,
For his bounty ev’ry blessing doth bestow
Joy and peace in waves of gladness o’er me roll,
Oh ‘tis sweet to have His glory in my soul.

2 Tho’ the tempter tries to hinder, I will still press on,
For the burden once so heavy now are almost gone;
Guardian angels are beside me to protect and cheer,
And no evil can befall me while my Lord is near. [Refrain]

3 I shall see my dear Redeemer in that home above,
There to taste the blessed fulness of His saving love,
Oh, the joy that now awaits me, where I long to be,
With my Lord and those he ransomed by the crystal sea. [Refrain]
