Representative Text

1 I’ll follow thee, Savior, forever,
Tho’ the way may be gloomy or bright;
In poverty’s vale and in sorrow,
Or in pathways of plenty and light.

Refrain:
I know thou wilt bless me and keep me,
Savior, Thy grace is abundant and free;
A shelter thou art in the tempest,
A refuge and fortress for me.

2 The sorrows of life may be many,
Its trials may darken my sky;
In Jesus I still find a shelter,
A Brother who always is night. [Refrain]

3 Temptations may fly thick around me,
As missiles of death to my soul;
Yet still I will trust in my Savior,
On him every fear I will roll. [Refrain]

4 I’ll praise thee and bless thee forever,
Thy glory I ever will sing;
The source of true joy, peace and comfort,
My Guide, my Redeemer and King. [Refrain]
