The world is watching you

1 If you love to follow Jesus be a soldier brave and true;
Do not bring reproach upon his precious name;
Spend each day in righteous living as his Word demands of you,
For he changeth not, but ever is the same.

If you love the Lord,
Just obey his Word,
In your ev’ry word and action proving true;
Do you walk each day
As his Word doth say?
For remember that the world is watching you.

2 Is your life a pure example of the holy Bible way?
Do you represent the grace of God aright?
Do you suffer wrong with patience when there comes a cloudy day?
Do you keep your Christian armor shining bright? [Refrain]

3 If the precious name of Jesus you have taken as your guide,
Never fail his word of wisdom to defend;
Do not fear the world’s derision, nor the hosts of sin beside,
For the Savior is your dearest, truest friend. [Refrain]
