Representative Text

1 I know my Lord will come
On some bright day to bear me home;
And I shall meet Him in the sky
In that glad morn sweet by and by,
Now hark! the trumpet soundeth
Over land and sea;
Wake ye sleepers for eternity.

Chorus:
Oh, Savior come for me,
and bear me o’er life’s troubled sea
Oh, Savior come, yes, come for me,
And bear me home to dwell with Thee.

2 In glory will He come
Attendant angels round Him throng;
The heav’nly hosts triumphant sing
In rapt’rous praise to Christ our King,
But hark! the trumpet soundeth
Over land and sea;
Jesus reigns for all eternity. [Chorus]

3 Oh, I must watch and pray
For that blest hour no soul may know;
And I would ever ready be
For Jesus when He calleth me,
And then the trumpet soundeth
Over land and sea;
Child come home for all eternity. [Chorus]
