Representative Text

1 I have a song within my heart,
A song of joy divine;
It came when first I learned to know,
That Jesus Christ was mine.
How bright this dismal world appeared,
I oft recall the time,
E’en now my heart is filled with joy,
For Jesus Christ is mine.

2 I have a song within my heart,
A song I love to sing,
It is a song of glorious trust,
A hope on which I cling,
The Saviour spake the words of love,
Just now I hear them ring,
Which made me free from ev’ry sin,
And Jesus for my King.

3 I have a song within my heart,
I’ll sing from morn till night,
A happy, blessed song of trust,
From Jesus I receive.
He fills me with a pow’r divine,
He bids me e’er believe,
All sinners with a weight of woe,
He, only, can relieve.
