Representative Text

1 I am satisfied to know,
Tho’ I cannot understand
The path in which I go,
I’m led by His own hand.

Refrain:
It is God’s way, yes, God’s way,
Strange tho’ it may be,
And I follow on, “His will be done,”
“Nearer my God, to Thee.”

2 I am satisfied to be,
Tho’ I cannot comprehend
What all may mean to me,
Just where His tho’ts may trend. [Refrain]

3 I am satisfied to walk,
Tho’ the way may chast’ning seem,
If the afflicting hand,
But guide me up to Him. [Refrain]
