1 Hear us, Heav’nly Father,
As on Thee we call,
May Thy gracious favor
On Thy children fall;
Help us in temptation,
Make us brave and strong,
Keep our wand’ring footsteps
From the path of wrong.
2 Countless are Thy mercies
As the stars above;
Boundless as the waters
Is Thy wondrous love;
May we, Heav’nly Father,
In Thy love abide,
Draw us ever nearer—
Nearer to Thy side.
3 Grant us Thy forgiveness
In this sacred hour,
May we know the sweetness
Of Thy saving pow’r;
Guide us safely onward,
By Thy hand of love,
Till we reach the glory
Of the home above.
