Minnie Bateham was born in Columbus Ohio on March 14, 1856. She suffered greatly from necrosis for years and was an invalid most of her life. She was very active in the Women’s Temperance Movement. She was a great reader of books and enjoyed music, especially singing. Minnie wrote many poems and simple songs which touched hearts. She died on October 30, 1885.
