He was made sin, the curse He took

Representative Text

1 He was made sin, the curse He took,
When He for me did die;
The load of all my past is gone,
No weight on me doth lie.
He says my sins are blotted out,
Not one can rise again;
The blood He shed on Calvary
Cleanseth from ev'ry stain.

Refrain:
O wondrous grace, so rich and free,
For He has died for even me;
The blood He shed on Calvary
Cleanseth from ev'ry stain.

2 The Present He doth make His care,
My Shepherd is the Lord;
No want I know in time of need,
For He supplies my board.
In times of weakness He's my strength,
In doubt He is my guide;
All good shall ever come to me
Whatever ill be tide. [Refrain]

3 The Future I care not to see,
'Tis in my Father's hand;
His life in me, my life in Him,
He'll bring me safe to land.
The heritage, I surely know,
Is safely kept for me;
His love will lead, and stay, and bless,
Until His face I see. [Refrain]
